NameFlow is a name-change guidance tool operated by NameFlow ("we", "us", "our"). We help people navigate legal name changes by providing personalised, step-by-step checklists.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — email address and display name when you sign up.
• Checklist data — your selected reason for name change, country, state/territory, and step progress.
• Optional names — your old and new name, if you choose to provide them. This is entirely optional and only used to personalise your checklist label.
• Preferences — theme, notification, and display settings.
• Usage data — basic analytics such as page views, used to improve the product.

We do NOT collect or store: passport numbers, licence numbers, government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or any sensitive identity documents.

• To generate and save your personalised checklist.
• To sync your progress across devices.
• To send email reminders about incomplete steps (only if you opt in).
• To improve the product via aggregated, anonymised analytics.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your data is restricted to authenticated users only — we use row-level security so no user can access another user's data.

We use Base44 as our backend infrastructure provider. Their security practices are available at base44.com.

We use essential cookies only — for authentication sessions. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may prevent you from staying logged in.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access — Request a copy of your data via Settings → Export my data.
• Correction — Update your information via your account settings.
• Deletion — Permanently delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete Account.
• Portability — Export your checklist data at any time.
• Objection — Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate NameFlow:

• Base44 — Backend infrastructure, authentication, and database.
• Stripe — Payment processing for NameFlow Plus+. We never see or store your card details.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

NameFlow is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of NameFlow after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
