Obtain your Dissolution Order or Deed Poll
When reverting to your previous name after divorce in NZ, you'll need either your dissolution (divorce) order from the Family Court, or your original marriage certificate plus a statutory declaration. For reverting to a completely different name, register a deed poll with BDM.
Update your New Zealand Passport
Apply for a new passport using your dissolution order or statutory declaration as evidence. Apply at a PostShop or AA Centre.
Update your NZTA Driver Licence
Visit an AA Centre or PostShop in person with your dissolution order and current licence. A new photo will be taken.
Update Inland Revenue (IRD)
