The correct order matters

JPN — Update MyKad (National Registration Department)
Visit your nearest JPN office with your supporting documents (marriage certificate, court order, or birth certificate amendment) to apply for a new MyKad with your updated name. This is the master identity document — all other updates follow from this.
Immigration Department — New Passport
Apply for a new Malaysian passport at the Immigration Department (Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia) using your updated MyKad. Bring your old passport, new MyKad, and supporting documents.
JPJ — Update Driving Licence
Visit a JPJ (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan) counter with your updated MyKad and current licence to request reissuance in your new name.
EPF (KWSP) — Update Provident Fund Records
Notify the Employees Provident Fund (EPF / KWSP) of your name change at any EPF branch or via the i-Akaun online portal. Bring your updated MyKad.
LHDN — Update Tax Records
Update your name with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN / IRBM) via the MyTax portal or at a LHDN branch to ensure your tax file and e-filing records reflect your new name.
Banks & Financial Institutions
Visit each bank branch with your updated MyKad and supporting documents to update all accounts, credit cards, and debit cards. Most Malaysian banks (Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank, RHB) require an in-person visit.
SOCSO (PERKESO) — Update Records
